In line with the Philippine government’s mandate, Xpress is proud to offer exclusive discounts for qualified users such as senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWD), students, and national athletes/coaches. These discounts ensure that everyone can enjoy affordable and accessible transportation, empowering individuals to travel comfortably and conveniently.


How to apply for Special Discounts

1. Download the App

2. Sign Up or Log In

  • Create an account or log in to your existing account.

3. Navigate to Special Discount Application

  • Click the Menu button on the top-left corner of the app.
  • Select Apply for Special Discount.

4. Complete Your Application

  • Read the instructions carefully and agree to the terms and conditions.
  • Fill in the necessary information in the form.
  • Upload clear images of your required ID(s), ensuring all details are visible and readable.

5. Submit Your Application

  • Once submitted, our team will verify your details within 1-2 business days.
  • You’ll receive an update via the app or email. Alternatively, you can check your profile, where a Special Discount Badge will appear once your application is approved.

Note: To avoid issues during verification, ensure that your Xpress profile name matches the name on your ID

How to Book with a Special Discount

  1. Start a Booking: Tap “Ride” and enter your pickup and drop-off locations.
  2. Select Vehicle Type: Choose between 2-wheel or 4-wheel rides.
  3. Automatic Discount: Your discount will automatically apply to your booking.
  4. Driver Verification: Be ready to present a valid ID when boarding.
  • If verified: The discount applies.
  • If unverified: The ride will proceed without the discount.
  1. Other Conditions: Discounts cannot be combined with other promotions.

Eligibility

  • Filipino Citizens:
    • Foreign nationals are not eligible.
    • Dual citizens may qualify with proof of Filipino citizenship.
  • Senior Citizens: Aged 60 and above.
  • Persons with Disabilities (PWDs):
    • For minors, the account must belong to a parent/guardian. The application must include:
      • The minor’s birth certificate.
      • The minor’s PWD ID.
    • A valid ID of the parent/guardian.
  • Students:
    • Must be enrolled in officially recognized schools.
    • Discounts do not apply to postgraduate programs or informal courses.
    • For minors, the account must belong to a parent/guardian, with:
      • The minor’s birth certificate.
      • The minor’s student ID.
      • A valid ID of the parent/guardian.
  • National Athletes/Coaches: Must present IDs issued by the Philippine Sports Commission or GAAB.

Specific Requirements

Clear photos of the following:

Senior Citizens: Senior Citizen ID or any government-issued ID showing birthdate.

Persons with Disabilities (PWDs): Valid PWD ID (must not be expired).

Students: Valid student ID and school registration form showing the current academic year.

National Athletes/Coaches: ID issued by the Philippine Sports Commission or GAAB.

Eligibility and Application

Can I apply for multiple discounts?

No. You can apply for only one type of special discount.

What if I have both a Senior Citizen and a PWD special discount?

Only one discount can be applied at a time. You can choose which one to apply during the registration process.

Does the validity of my special discount eligibility have an expiration date?

  • Senior Citizen: This discount does not expire.
  • PWD: Valid for up to three (3) years or until the ID’s expiry date, whichever comes first. Renewal is possible with valid documents.
  • Student, National Athlete/Coach: Valid for one (1) year from the registration date. Renewal is possible with valid documents.

Usage

Can I transfer my discount eligibility or let someone else use it?

No. Discounts are exclusive to your registered account and must be used by you during the ride.

How do I check the discount applied to my fare?

The fare breakdown will show the regular fare strikethrough and the discounted amount before booking.

Is a Special discount given regardless of the number of companions?

Yes. The full discount applies as long as the special discount holder is a passenger in the ride.

Verification

What happens if my ID doesn’t match my profile?

You must update your Xpress profile to match your ID before booking to avoid issues during verification.

Do I need to present a valid ID when taking Xpress rides?

Yes. You must carry and present a valid ID (e.g., Driver’s License, Senior Citizen’s ID, PWD ID, Student ID) to the driver upon entering the vehicle. Drivers are authorized to verify your ID to ensure it matches your profile details registered with Xpress.

What happens if I don’t present a valid ID?

Non-compliance may result in the discount being revoked for that trip. Additionally, it may be considered fraudulent, and the account owner may face penalties as per Xpress’s Terms and Conditions for special discounts.
